Positive Winning Attitude

My sister. Margaret wins everything. I win nothing. She says it is because I don’t believe I will win. She and my brother-in-law have lengthy, heated discussions about how they will spend the winning lottery ticket that they haven’t even purchased.

We attract what we put out, so the more positive we are, the more we draw all that good stuff our way. It’s good for our health as well. A positive attitude:

  • Lowers depression.

  • Increases life span.

  • Increases immunity to the common cold.

  • Results in improved psychological and physical well-being.

  • Reduces the risk of death from cardiovascular disease, and

  • Offers better coping skills in difficult times.

Staying positive is good for us professionally as well. It helps achieve goals and attain success, produces more energy, increases motivation, allows us to think more creatively, and draws people closer to us. People like to do business with happy, positive people.

When we’re doing that self-talk, telling ourselves how we will or will not succeed, let’s make an effort to stay on the sunny side of the street. Notice and focus on the good. Imagine our goals becoming reality. If it happens to other people, it can happen to us.
