Sometimes you’re one with the board.
Sometimes you’re not.
Notice how some days everything goes smoothly? You are early for your train, the baker throws in an extra roll, the sun is shining, and you are a genius at work. In fact, you’re at the top of your game.
Days like that are priceless. They also are rare.
At least a bit of struggle enters most days. And there are the ones when nothing goes right. Whatever can go wrong, does. At the end of the day you reflect back and realize you may as well have stayed in bed.
Conflict makes the story of our lives intriguing. The bigger the dilemma, problem, or mountain we must climb, the more interesting is the tale. How we get through it is what keeps a reader engaged, chapter to chapter.
When life gets tough, hang in there. It all ends up to a good story to tell. Maybe even one your kids will want to hear.
